The predecessor of Youman Cartoon Satellite TV was the Jiangsu Children's Channel under the Jiangsu Provincial Radio and Television Station. It started broadcasting on October 1, 2004 and was renamed as Shangxing Broadcasting on July 1, 2010. Youman Cartoon TV is one of the top five satellite children's TV stations in China, with the highest ratings and influence among similar media in East China.
